Moral story about Honesty

Once upon a time, there was a woodcutter who lived in a small village. He was known for his honesty and hard work. One day, while he was cutting wood in the forest, his axe slipped from his hand and fell into the river. The river was deep and he could not retrieve it.

He sat by the riverbank feeling sad and helpless when suddenly an angel appeared before him. The angel asked him what was wrong and the woodcutter told him about his lost axe. The angel dived into the river and came back with a golden axe. "Is this your axe?" he asked.

"No," replied the woodcutter.

The angel then dived into the river again and came back with a silver axe. "Is this your axe?" he asked.

"No," replied the woodcutter again.

The angel then dived into the river for the third time and came back with the woodcutter's iron axe. The woodcutter was overjoyed and thanked the angel for his help. The angel was pleased with the woodcutter's honesty and gave him all three axes as a reward.

The moral of this story is that honesty is always rewarded in the end.
